Planned Giving
Making a planned gift to MSU Hillel ensures that future generations of Jewish students have the resources to explore and expand their involvement with the Jewish community. You would also be eligible for membership in Hillel's Heritage Society, which recognizes a special group of visionary investors who are making a profound and meaningful impact on the Jewish future by including Hillel in their estate and long range financial plans.
Unlike an outright gift to Hillel, planned gifts generally benefit Hillel at some future point in time, and can be a powerful wealth management tool for you and your loved ones. A planned gift can be revocable or irrevocable, and can provide you or persons you choose with lifetime income, before ultimately being used to support Hillel's important work.
There are a variety of ways that you can leave a Legacy for the Jewish Future. We welcome an opportunity to work with you to create a customized gift plan that meets your personal philanthropic objectives. We would be happy to provide you with a personalized illustration of the benefits to you of any of these gift planning options, set an appointment for a personal visit, or have a telephone discussion with you and/or your advisors. There is no charge for this service and no obligation on your part. And of course, all information discussed is strictly confidential. If you have questions or would like to learn more about making a planned gift, you may request more information or contact Jonathon Koenigsberg directly.
How to Leave a Legacy for the Jewish Future:
Gifts by Will (Bequests)
Gifts made through your will or revocable trust, also known as testamentary gifts, are the easiest and most common way to ensure a lasting legacy for the Jewish future. Because bequests are revocable, you always have the flexibility to adjust your gift to your changing circumstances.
Retirement Plan Assets
By using your tax-deferred retirement plan assets to make a gift to Hillel, you can benefit yourself, your family, and ensure a stronger Jewish future.
Gifts that Give Back (Life Income Gifts)
By transferring assets to Hillel, you and your chosen beneficiaries can receive income for life or a specified period of time, while enabling Hillel to build vibrant Jewish campus communities.
Temporary Gifts (Charitable Lead Trusts)
A temporary gift to Hillel can provide you with significant wealth management benefits.
Life Insurance
By designating Hillel as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, you can significantly leverage your contributions to Jewish campus life.
Gifts of Property
We would be happy to discuss with you the potential benefits of making a gift of real or personal property, or other gift plans that meet your planning objectives while also supporting Hillel.
